Sectors

Explore the industries driving investment, trade, employment and innovation across Nigeria, Africa and international markets — and act on them without leaving this page.

Sector intelligence. Commercial opportunities. Expert networks.

NiDCC organises its work around the industries where diaspora capital, expertise and partnerships can do the most. Pick a sector below to see what we focus on, then submit an opportunity or ask for an introduction right here.

How it works

What NiDCC does in every sector.

The same four ways of working run through all of our priority industries.
01

Sector intelligence

Briefings on market conditions, policy and regulation, drawn from our network and the Global Economic Outlook.

02

Councils & working groups

Practitioners who identify market barriers, shape recommendations and convene stakeholders around practical outcomes.

03

Opportunity pipeline

A structured channel for receiving, reviewing and presenting eligible projects and enterprises to members and partners.

04

Introductions & missions

Curated introductions to buyers, suppliers, investors and institutions, plus trade missions and sector roundtables.

Priority sectors

16 industries, one platform.

Choose a theme, then a sector, to see the opportunities and collaboration NiDCC focuses on.

The productive base of emerging economies — what is grown, mined and extracted, and how it reaches market.

  • Offtake, export readiness and food security programmes

The physical backbone every other sector depends on — power, buildings, transport and connectivity.

Where we focus

  • Distribution, metering and utility services

Questions

Before you reach out.

What to expect when you share an opportunity or ask for an introduction.

What happens after I submit an opportunity?
Your submission is logged with a reference number and reviewed by the relevant team. Suitable submissions may be asked for further documents, invited into a readiness assessment, or presented to members and partners through the opportunity pipeline.
How do introductions work?
Tell us the sector, the kind of counterpart you are looking for — buyer, supplier, investor, partner or institution — and what you hope to achieve. Where there is a credible fit, the team will propose an introduction to both sides.
Does NiDCC invest in or endorse opportunities?
No. NiDCC does not provide investment, legal, tax or financial advice. Publication, introduction or participation does not constitute endorsement, verification or a recommendation to invest, and every participant must conduct independent due diligence.
Who can join a sector council?
Members and practitioners with relevant experience in the sector. Use "Join a sector council" and tell us your sector and background; the team will follow up on participation.
