Market Access

Market Access and Trade Services

Practical support for organizations entering, expanding in or exporting from Nigeria, Africa and international markets.

Navigate markets with insight, relationships and local intelligence.

Entering a new market is rarely blocked by a single big obstacle. It is a long list of small unknowns — who the real buyers are, which approvals matter, which partners can be trusted, how deals actually get done. NiDCC helps organizations work through that list: we help you ask the right questions, find the right information and relationships, and plan practical next steps across Nigeria, Africa and international markets.

  • Into Nigeria and AfricaFor international companies and investors.
  • Out to the worldFor Nigerian and African exporters and brands.
  • Across the diasporaFor diaspora entrepreneurs building between markets.

Process

How a service engagement runs.

Every engagement starts with a conversation and ends with clear next steps.
  1. Step 01

    Discovery consultation

We talk through your organization, your target market and what success looks like.

  2. Step 02

    Scope and market objective

Together we agree the objective and the questions the engagement needs to answer.

  3. Step 03

    Research and stakeholder mapping

We gather intelligence and map the partners, buyers, regulators and institutions that matter.

  4. Step 04

    Engagement plan and commercial proposal

You receive a plan for the work, with a proposal covering scope and terms.

  5. Step 05

    Delivery, introductions or mission

Briefings, introductions, site visits or a trade mission — whatever the plan calls for.

  6. Step 06

    Follow-up report and next-step support

A summary of what was learned and agreed, and support with what comes next.

Before the consultation

What to bring to the first conversation.

  • The market or markets you are considering, and why
  • What you sell or plan to do there, and who your customers would be
  • Your timeline, and any budget set aside for market entry
  • What you already know — and the questions you cannot answer yet
  • Any existing contacts, partners or approvals in the market

Where market access connects

Professional services boundary

Where regulated legal, financial, immigration, accounting, tax or investment advice is required, NiDCC will refer the client to appropriately qualified independent professionals.
Questions

Common questions about market access.

Which markets do you support?
Our focus is Nigeria and Africa, and the international markets connected to them through the diaspora — including North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Tell us your target market and we will say honestly whether we can help.
Is market access support free?
The discovery consultation is where we understand your needs. Where an engagement involves research, introductions or a mission, you receive a commercial proposal setting out scope and terms before any work begins.
Can you handle registration, licensing or legal work?
No. NiDCC is not a law firm or regulated adviser. We help you understand what is involved and refer you to qualified independent professionals for regulated work.
Can I join a trade mission?
Yes, where a mission matches your market and sector. Mention it in your request, and keep an eye on Events for upcoming delegations and summits.
